Melting Coop’ is a cooperative. A cooperative is a group of individuals who choose to pool their resources in order to satisfy their needs. Access to the grocery store is therefore conditional on participation in the life of the structure. Thus, access to the grocery store is granted once you have subscribed to a social share at 10 euros (for students), and to the extent that you participate in the life of the cooperative for 2 hours and 45 minutes every 28 days.
The prices of the cooperative's products are between 10 and 30% cheaper than the prices of large retailers. In addition, 80% of Melting Coop's products are organic, with importance given to short circuit and bulk supply. Purchases can be paid in Gonette (local Lyon currency).
